We are seeking an experienced Machine Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled individual who enjoys hands-on work, precision assembly, troubleshooting, and seeing a complex machine come together from individual components.

What You'll Do

  • Install bearings, shafts, gears, motors, drives, tooling, and other mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and related documentation.
  • Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, fits, and alignment.
  • Set up, adjust, align, and test machine components to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Machining, Electrical, and other manufacturing teams to resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Take ownership of the quality and performance of the equipment you build.

What We're Looking For

  • Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work accurately with tight tolerances and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify problems, determine the cause, and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to quality and workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience assembling industrial machinery, automated equipment, packaging machinery, or other complex mechanical systems.
  • Experience with bearings, gears, shafts, drive systems, pneumatics, or hydraulics.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
  • Experience troubleshooting and testing completed machinery.
  • Technical school or mechanical training is a plus.

Why Join PMC?

  • Work on sophisticated, custom-built machinery rather than repetitive production assembly
  • Opportunity to develop advanced mechanical and technical skills
  • Training and additional schooling provided as needed
  • Work on machines that are installed and operated around the world
  • Collaborative manufacturing environment focused on quality, innovation, and craftsmanship
  • Employee-owned company
