Companion Care
The heart of our business is our home companion care service. How the service works is simple. You choose what days you would like for us to come and how long. Then you choose what services you would like for us to do while we are there. If it is just being with your mom we can do that but we also can do other tasks while we are here.
What we can do
There is a lot that we are able to do. We don’t just sit with our clients. Above All Home Companion Care is able to We are able to sit with hospice patients and those who have hospice visits.

What we can’t do
There are a few points that need to be mentioned that we can’t handle. We are not a medical facility so we don’t have nurses on staff. If a person is needing to be lifted We aren’t able to do that. We can assist but our client has to be able to do the work of picking themselves up out of bed or a chair. We do not administer meds. We can remind them it is time to take meds but we do not hand out medication to our clients. We can assist in showers by getting their back and other hard-to-reach areas. However, we don’t wash them ourselves.
We struggled with this from the beginning. We are shorting ourselves some opportunities by not being medical. This is so that we can keep our costs down for you. If we have medical staff their specialized training calls for a higher wage. That higher wage gets passed on to you. Since what we help with doesn’t have to be medical in nature we are able to pass those saving on to you.
Staffing Service
We also help our friends in the medical industry by helping them maintain their required number of CNA, CMA, LPN, and other staffing member hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, and the like may need.

Transitioning Service
This service is a hard one to do. Because eventually, because of illness or age, your loved one can’t live by themselves. They may need to just downsize from having a huge house to a smaller assisted living apartment. Then again they may have to move into a nursing home and because of how the rules are set up she may have to sell what she can including her house.
These scenarios aren’t pleasant but they happen way more than we like for them to happen. So, as a means to help we also have a transition service that helps for you to sell the contents of your loved ones’ house and then also help get the house sold too.
